Cartrefi Cymru was established in 1989 by a group of parents who wanted to ensure that people with learning disabilities living in rural Wales and the Valleys had the opportunity to live in their community with the highest quality support.

Today we are still a proud Welsh charity fulfilling and building upon our founders vision, providing cutting edge social care support across Wales in a variety of services from supported living, short breaks, home care and much more.

Our core purpose is to support people with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour to lead fulfilled lives and to enjoy a good life that they want, in their way. We believe in people, communities, and all the positive attitude and behaviours that make for individual happiness and social wellbeing. 

We are working towards a co-operative future enabling the people we support, employees and community supporter to become co-producers in our exciting journey to build, strong, resilient communities.
